A TRUE LOCAL
Marbella isn’t just
where we guide.
It’s where we’re from.
Our co-founder Javier belongs to the fourth generation of a Marbella family. The town’s streets are part of his own story, as well as the history he shares with visitors.
Along the way, we introduce you to local business owners and their teams. Return later for a coffee or a browse and you’ll already know a few faces — and they’ll recognise yours.
Listen clearly. Look around freely.
For groups of more than six adults, we use radio guides with excellent sound quality. Take in a façade or stop for a photo without losing the thread of the story.
Your guide will be Javier or a member of our professional local team. Operated by Tour Marbella Experiences.
A TASTE OF LOCAL LIFE
A little olive oil.
A lot to appreciate.
A short tasting brings another side of Andalusia into the walk. Taste extra virgin olive oil and learn what to notice, with a local product you may look at differently from now on.
Included in the €25 ticket, subject to availability. This is a small tasting, not a meal.

Where does the Marbella walking tour start?
Meet beside the Fuente Virgen del Rocío fountain in Alameda Park, central Marbella. Please arrive 10 minutes before your confirmed starting time. Open the meeting point in Google Maps.
How long is the tour?
Allow approximately two hours for the guided walk and olive oil tasting.
Is the tour in English?
Yes. The group tour is guided in English, with time for questions along the way.
How many people are in the group?
Our small-group format is designed for up to 15 guests, so you can hear the guide, ask questions and enjoy a comfortable pace. If you are booking for a larger party, contact us about a private walk.
Will I be able to hear the guide?
For groups of more than six adults, we use radio guides with excellent sound quality. You can move comfortably, take a photo or pause to look at a detail without missing the commentary.
Is the olive oil tasting included?
A small extra virgin olive oil tasting is included in the experience, subject to availability. It is a short introduction to local olive oil, rather than a full food tour or meal.
Is the tour suitable for children?
It is best suited to children who enjoy stories and can comfortably join a cultural walk of around two hours. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Check any age categories and child prices in the booking listing.
What happens if it rains?
The current booking listing says the tour runs rain or shine. Bring a suitable layer if rain is forecast. For severe weather or an operational change, follow the information sent by the operator or booking provider.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, booking ahead is recommended. Choose an available date and time and complete your reservation before coming to the meeting point. Turning up without a confirmed booking does not guarantee a place.
Can I join if I’m travelling alone?
Absolutely. You can book one place and join other travellers. The current operator listing requires at least four participants in total for a departure to run; you do not need to bring a group of four yourself.
How far is the meeting point from Puerto Banús?
Alameda Park is in central Marbella, a separate area from Puerto Banús. Allow time to travel by taxi, car or local bus and arrive 10 minutes early. Use live directions from your accommodation; traffic and journey times vary. Hotel pickup is not included.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. A hat and sun protection are useful on sunny days; bring a light rain layer when needed. There are outdoor stops and sections of uneven paving.
Is this a free walking tour?
No. This is a paid, professionally guided group tour with a clear price of €25 per person. Your tour is paid for when you book, so you do not need to decide what to pay the guide at the end.
Can I cancel my booking?
Please check the cancellation conditions shown in the direct booking calendar before payment. Contact our local team if you need clarification before booking.
Will Javier guide my tour?
Javier is a founder of Tour Marbella Experiences and an official guide from a fourth-generation Marbella family. Your departure may be led by Javier or another member of our professional local guiding team; a specific guide is not guaranteed.
Is the route suitable for reduced mobility?
The Old Town has narrow streets and uneven surfaces. Please contact us before booking to discuss your specific access needs, including a wheelchair or pushchair, so we can advise on the route for your date.
